When your child is diagnosed with T1D, it is incredibly lonely for you and for them.
You’re suddenly thrown into a world where every snack and meal becomes a tricky math problem.
Your child must learn how to navigate a world where their friends and family don’t have to count carbs, give shots, wear an insulin pump, and so much more.
This can feel overwhelming, because it’s hard to learn everything you need to know. As a parent, you have no choice but to navigate a complex world of health management and emotional stress for your child.
You want to keep your child safe and their T1D well managed, but you also want them to be able to grow in their independence. You want expert care and education for yourself and for them, And for your child to know they are not alone. You want them to thrive, and not be defined by their T1D.

Become a part of our Camp Kudzu community that educates, empowers, and inspires children, teens, and their families living with T1D.
We focus on building independence, confidence, and community in children and teens with T1D while providing parents with support and peace of mind.
Providing your child the life-changing experience of expert care, nurturing support, and a community of others just like them.
Camp Kudzu Family camp was a great way for us to try out Camp Kudzu and it gave us the confidence to send her to overnight summer camp, knowing that she would be well-cared for by the endocrinologists, clinicians, and trained counselors. Family Camp was also a great way for us to meet other families going through the same diagnosis. Camp Kudzu is our bright spot and happy place!
